Wilbur Soot, also known as Wilbur, was an English member of the QSMP who was announced on March 21, 2023, and joined for the first time on March 22, 2023. His removal from the server was confirmed on March 3, 2024.

Wilbur Soot was one of the members of the band Lovejoy, a Federation-affiliated band touring around the world. Because of it, he wasn't very present in the island's life, including in his daughter Lullah's. Despite not being able to be around her, he loved her and missed her very much, and had sent letters through her adoptive father and his friend Philza.

Physical Description

Wilbur Soot was a human male with peach skin, brown hair, and two black "socket-style" eyes. He wore a yellow sweater with a lavender ribbon on the left side, black pants, and gray shoes.

Wilbur was extravagant, prone to worrying, and distinctly British. He was quite oppositional when it comes to authority. He was known for his chaotic actions, and had been called crafty.

He tended to insert himself into a leadership role.

Wilbur easily got anxious and has a hard time coping with stress. He was both ashamed of this quality of his, and also seemed to have a somewhat laid-back approach to life's problems, stating that "if things went bad [he] could just die". He tended to stop talking whenever he got nervous. Despite his anxiety, he could also get rather dramatic, with Phil and Lullah considering him a drama queen.

He did not consider himself a good person, having had a history of abandoning people. However, he did his best to be a better person for Lullah.

He had very negative fellings towards the government.

Wilbur was creative and musical, known for his guitar playing and singing skills.^{[Citation needed]} However, he wasn't a good builder. He liked schedules and spreadsheets. His favorite Spanish word was "sacapuntas" because he found it fun to say.

Wilbur had tens of thousands of people living inside his head, who helped him catch up on the server's happenings and told him Spanish words he didn't know. Wilbur also eats sand.

Lovejoy

Like Wilbur's real-life counterpart, Wilbur was a member of a band called Lovejoy, and therefore had to spend a lot of time touring away from Quesadilla Island. The band's sales contributed to funding the Federation.

History

As per his own words, Wilbur was not raised in a good way. At some point he used to live in a van. At one point he also got married, which he considered a big mistake.

He came to Quesadilla Island from England, and was one of the original members who joined on Day One. After founding Villa de Sacapuntas he was forced, however, to leave for a tour with his band. When he came back, he accidentally became a father to an abandoned egg he named Tallulah.

Chayanne	Positive	Brother. Wilbur first learned of Chayanne’s existence after Fit warned him that Chayanne liked to go on dangerous adventures. They often engaged in petty, chaotic arguments resembling sibling spats. They competed against each other and got Philza involved whenever possible.[Citation needed] Despite outward appearances, Wilbur saw Chayanne's efforts to protect Lullah and complimented his abilities as a warrior, referring to him as a "beefcake". Wilbur often sung the egg lullabies.[Citation needed] On his return during Day 208, Chayanne was the first egg Wilbur asked about being missing, showing his deep care.
Philza	☆ Very Positive	Close Friend & Father Figure. Wilbur stuck close to Philza ever since the first day, where the two first appeared on the same train. Later, the two claimed they felt a familial bond. Philza was invited to join Wilbur's village, La Villa de Sacapuntas, and upon returning after a long break to find the village abandoned, Wilbur decided to make his new house near Phil's.[Citation needed][Citation needed] Wilbur trusted Phil implicitly, knowing he’d take good care of Lullah in his absence as her grandfather. His trust also extended over less important (and more petty) matters; for example, Wilbur believed that Phil would be okay with Wilbur robbing him. The two also have proved to not be able to hold onto grudges for long, as they apologize very soon after arguing and get right back to how things were. Wilbur often made fun of Phil's old age.
Lullah	☆ Very Positive	Daughter. Wilbur was initially not ready to be a father, strongly opposed to the idea and going so far as not wanting to look at Lullah when he first found her. Later, however, he grew to absolutely adore her and their bond together. He was insistent on keeping all of her signs intact around their home together, made sure her bedroom contained their only bed, and taught her important skills like fishing. He often praised her, for both her artistic skills, her accessories, her decorating, and any other quality he noticed.[Citation needed] He often sang lullabies, and even taught her how to play her first song on the guitar. He liked her a lot as a person as well, considering her fun and good to hang out with. He, however, struggled with his unforeseen parenthood. He confided to others about his uncertainty of being a good parent and his fears surrounding being gone for long periods.[Citation needed] This led to him being very careful with raising her, doing his best to not influence her in a bad way. He stressed that Lullah would never need to fend for herself so long as he was around.[Citation needed] He wrote to her often while he was touring, and spent the entire day on his return searching for her.[Citation needed][Citation needed] He regretted not meeting her sooner, saying that he would have loved it if she got to be a part of Villa de Sacapuntas. He only knew her for a very short while, but he cared deeply, writing letters to her even when he was away. When he briefly returned he panicked at her absence and did all he knew how to do to help before leaving once again, permanently.

While fishing with Lullah, Jaiden was one of the friends that Wilbur mentioned that he was excited for her to meet, calling her a lovely person. Jaiden was also the first person to greet him upon his return on Day 208.
Pac	Positive	New Acquaintance. Although the two met only once, briefly, the two got along fairly well. Pac was the first Brazilian Wilbur met on the server, which he was very excited about, and Pac was just as excited to meet him. After meeting, Wilbur said that the man was sweet.[Citation needed]
Quackity	Positive	Friend from a long time ago. Wilbur’s and Quackity’s relationship was, to put it mildly, complicated. Quackity’s feelings for Wilbur often appeared romantic, with Wilbur reciprocating only partially, referring to Quackity as “honey” and acknowledging that, at least at some point, they were romantically involved. Their relationship grew even more complicated after Wilbur’s Europe tour. Quackity blamed Wilbur for abandoning him and Tilín, and thought that he was the reason Tilín died. Wilbur, however, did not see himself as guilty, as he had warned Quackity that he was going away and didn’t believe that Tilín was his child. Quackity also accused Wilbur of cheating on him.Despite this, Wilbur agreed to help Quackity get revenge on the person who took Tilín's life.[Citation needed] Wilbur still believed Quackity was a good person, only angry. He imparted his way of thinking onto Lullah, encouraging her to show him love and kindness. He also carried around a closeup photo of Quackity's face.[Citation needed]
Roier	Positive	Friend. Roier and Wilbur generally had positive interactions, as Wilbur was receptive to Roier speaking majorly in Spanish and was always trying to learn from him. Wilbur told Quackity on the first day that he greatly enjoyed Roier's company, and went to great lengths to convince the man to join his Villa. On Wilbur's return on Day 208, the two exchanged merry greetings and excitedly caught up with one another.[Citation needed]
Slimecicle	☆ Very Positive	Best Friend (with Benefits?) Wilbur and Slimecicle were close from the first day, and were two of the founding members of La Villa de la Sacapuntas While fishing with Lullah on her first day, Wilbur told her how excited he was to introduce her to Slimecicle, calling him one of his best and oldest friends and saying he would defend Charlie with his life. Upon Wilbur's return on Day 208, they reunited with great excitement, and later had pseudosex on Charlie's train.
