Slimecicle, also known as Slime, Charlie, or El Backflipo, is an American member of the QSMP who was announced on March 21, 2023, and joined for the first time on March 22, 2023.[6]
Slimecicle is a humanoid male with thick prescription glasses,[7] light brown hair, and green slime sticking to his left temple and right shoulder. He wears a white t-shirt with three red hearts on the front, a green sash around his waist, and blue jeans. At first he declared that he considered himself "just a guy," but admitted that based on many of his traits—such as his demonstrated ability to shape-shift—he probably had "something else going on."[8] However, he later clarified that he is part slime[9] and he considers himself to be in some way related to slime mobs,[10] considering them one of his kind.[11] Due to this aspect of his biology he is covered in a cool mucus membrane and has a natural "moistness."[12] He thinks of himself as non-human enough that eating a Federation worker would not count as cannibalism.
He has a pungent smell[13] that also presents itself when in his Gegg form;[14] he has the ability to suppress this smell if desired.[15] He was apparently "born without bones"[16] and is sensitive about it,[17] but has implied on multiple occasions that he is in possession of a set regardless, and has "put in" a spine.[18] He allegedly has a few animal features, such as a penis that rattles like a snake,[19] udders,[20] and "prey eyes" which can see 360 degrees around himself.[21]
According to Cellbit, he tastes awful.[22]
In his default skin Slimecicle wears glasses, a t-shirt, jeans, red tennis shoes, and a green sash around his waist. He has a small amount of slime in his hair with a popsicle stick sticking out of it; another "slimecicle" is visible on his right shoulder.
During the Trial of JuanaFlippa, Slimecicle wore a black suit and a green tie that matched the color of his slime.
After the funeral, Slime dressed up in a green version of Ash Ketchum's outfit from Black & White: Rival Destinies so he could make Pokémon jokes using his soundboard.
While participating in a gathering at Las Casualonas, Slimecicle wore an outfit in the "Playboy Bunny" style, with a form fitting one-piece featuring overall-style straps on the back; green tinted tights; a small, disconnected green bowtie; and cufflinks, along with animal themed ears.
For Cellbit and Roier's wedding Slime showed up in a dress made entirely of slime.[24] Additionally, this skin featured a light blush on his cheeks.
During the election Slimecicle dressed up as Gegg's campaign manager, he wore a green button up, white vest with gold buttons, a watch, a brown belt, black pants, green tennis shoes, and a gold chain on his pants.
After coming back from a long absence Charlie wore a shirtless skin for a joke. It featured drawn on abs and slime covering his torso.[25]
While spending time with CodeFlippa Slime's slime started to turn into something code-like, he described the patches as feeling like his arm was asleep, and justified them as just a weird rash. The longer it went on the more patches turned to code, spreading more and more. At a certain point he would experience full body and vocal glitches. The patches were black with green lines, resembling the Binary Entity
During Purgatory Slimecicle stripped naked except for his sash and glasses and got covered in mud.
Slimecicle is a very enthusiastic person. He's extremely good at improvising and will often use this skill for jokes or to create conflict for fun, such as when he objected to Cellbit and Roier's wedding. He's a fun person to be around and frequently makes people laugh. However he also struggles with insecurity and other issues and has a tendency to project these problems onto others.[26] He's often surprised when people give him gifts or want to spend time with him.[27] Due to this insecurity he tends towards jealousy in his relationships, particularly with his partner Mariana.
His mistakes haunt him every day and the loss of his family is something he was never able to recover from, leading to his coping with humor and various vices. He’s impulsive and isn’t embarrassed easily, often stretching bits to their limit.
Slimecicle is a frequent liar; he will often turn to lying in an effort to get his desired outcome. Due to this tendency and his natural charisma, he is skilled at coming up with believable lies on the spot; it is only under stress that they begin to break apart. As a result, it is often difficult to tell whether things he reveals about himself are true or made up for one reason or another. When especially stressed, he jumps to extreme solutions rather than approaching things logically. This is especially true when strong emotions are involved. He is known to lie to spare the feelings of those around him, specifically his daughter.[28]
Slimecicle is a very musical person and has created multiple songs over the course of the server that he will sing on request, when tasked with lullabies for egg quests his first instinct is to pull up a public domain backing track and sing a freestyle rap. He is fairly easygoing when it comes to the strange or abnormal, whether that be socially or physically.
As a parent, Slimecicle is extremely proud of his children and tells them this often. He is not shy with his love. He loves quickly and never stops. He never fully recovered from JuanaFlippa's death; the healing process went slowly, and was further complicated when he met CodeFlippa. He loved her despite knowing deep down that she wasn't actually JuanaFlippa. When he was introduced to SunnySideUp his initial hesitance towards being her dad came from his own concern for her rather than anything against her personally.
Romantically, Slimecicle has had a difficult time on the island. His relationship with ElMariana was characterized by passion, often manifesting as loud arguments or the insulting of the other's fidelity, parenting, or character. He often became jealous when Mariana spoke familiarly to other men and would quickly try to make Mariana jealous in turn. While he has a tendency to flirt around, he is actually very loyal to his relationship with Mariana. He only ever flirts with people who are unattainable, such as Philza, Roier, or Cellbit, as he knows they would never reciprocate in a serious way, if at all. The times someone has tried to flirt with him, he's denied them and brought up Mariana.[29]
Slimecicle keeps the knife that his dead daughter JuanaFlippa used to use, as well as an axe given to him by his wife ElMariana, in an item frame in his storage room.[30][31]

It is implied that Slimecicle did not have a good childhood; whether or not he was aware it was unhealthy is unknown. He has referred to his father as raising him and his eight siblings using a crate as a punishment tool,[32] and he went on to briefly try a similar tactic with JuanaFlippa. He's implied that he was dropped from a large height as a child.[33]
Slimecicle has implied on multiple occasions that backflips are something of a family tradition with history beyond just himself, he's mentioned being "from a long line of Flipos" and shared backflip related sayings from his father.[34] His father raised him to be "macho" and he wanted to raise JuanaFlippa similarly.[35]
At some point Slimecicle's father was remarried, losing contact and taking his brother Mike with him.
He hasn't spoken nearly as much about his mother, only really saying that he inherited his laugh from her.[36]
Slimecicle has referred to his days before the island and his family as "lonely." He has said on numerous occasions that he "couldn't go back to jail" and has mentioned previously being imprisoned.[37] When he went to prison on the island he compared it to previous prisons, calling it nice in comparison.[38] He called his cell there nicer than most places he'd lived.[39] He's done a large amount of crimes in his lifetime,[40] and has said that he is banned from owning firearms in every US state for individual crimes.[41]
Upon joining the island, Slimecicle quickly established himself by the name "El Backflipo" among the Spanish speakers. He became known for his backflips and would spent his time attempting to communicate through rudimentary Spanish.
He was invited to join La Ciudad de Sacapuntas by Wilbur Soot, carving himself a home in the wall he dubbed "El Casa de Backflipo".
On Day 13, Charlie was partnered with ElMariana in the Egg Adoption Event. Together they adopted their daughter JuanaFlippa. They quickly settled into a stereotypical dysfunctional family dynamic, with Charlie as the resentful husband and Mariana as his "bitch wife."
The second time Charlie spoke to JuanaFlippa, she had been left alone without care for two days. He was horrified at this and attempted to make things right. She was not happy with him and went back into her cubby in the adoption center, where he eventually talked her into giving the family a second chance. She gave him a kovan flower as a sign of this new beginning.
At first, JuanaFlippa was unable to express herself through words. This made understanding her needs difficult and that reflected in Charlie's relationship with her; she would seem to act in opposition to him, and this led him to feel insecure about his place as her parent. Eventually they grew to understand how much they cared about each other and reached a solid point in their relationship. Charlie showed his commitment to her by protecting her from the Demon and supporting her consistently.
He strongly believed himself to be raising her as a single parent, as he rarely saw Mariana with JuanaFlippa. When she mentioned having received something from him or seen him, Charlie would often deny that it was true.
On JuanaFlippa’s first birthday, he found Mariana taking care of her and believed things to be finally turning around, growing closer with Mariana as a result. They had intercourse and Charlie planted a camera on Mariana in order to really see if he was being a good parent; the camera later caught Mariana’s accidental misclick of JuanaFlippa's bed, which took her final life.
Upon seeing the footage, Charlie went on a rampage. He reasoned to himself that if all of the eggs were dead, then a reset would have to occur and he would get her back. He made it his mission to kill any egg he could get his hands on. This mission was unsuccessful, and eventually he was talked down. His fellow islanders were largely unworried by his capabilities and instead concerned for his well being, and they were willing to forgive him and aid in whatever way they could. Charlie proposed a trial to Cucurucho for both the revival of JuanaFlippa and the divorce of himself and Mariana. Cucurucho agreed. Charlie quickly asked as many people as were available to represent him in court, in order to take away any opportunity for Mariana to recruit a lawyer. Then he got drunk and mourned.
On the day of the trial, Charlie’s plan was to convince every present islander to represent him in court as his lawyer. Five lawyers ended up representing him. The trial resulted in the resurrection of JuanaFlippa and the temporary jail time of both of her parents, which they quickly broke out of.
Upon reuniting with their daughter and returning home, Charlie and Mariana rekindled their relationship.
The next day Charlie, spent the day with JuanaFlippa. He took over watching Tilín from Roier, and things were going well until a fatal misclick resulted in the death of his nephew.[42] He was horrified.
Charlie tearfully declared himself unfit to be a parent, promising JuanaFlippa he would make things right before leaving her in the care of Roier. He set off with only the kovan flower he had received from JuanaFlippa.
Charlie settled on an island thousands of blocks from Spawn, which he dubbed Eggxile. There he set about "making things right," creating a shrine for the Angel and attempting to bargain for Tilín's life back.
Before he could carry out his plan, Cucurucho approached him while he was mining. It built a small space and showed Charlie a video of JuanaFlippa's final death. Charlie refused to believe Cucurucho, chasing it off and convincing himself it was a hallucination brought on by mine fumes. Despite this, he still worried for his daughter and later begged the Angel to deny the truth of her death. When he couldn't, Charlie asked him to bring his daughter back if it was brought to a choice between her life and Tilín's.
After JuanaFlippa’s final death, a funeral was held for the deceased eggs. Charlie attended virtually through a series of cameras he had set up in the church, but later exited his surveillance room, which was under the graveyard of the church.
Mariana and Charlie said their final goodbyes to their daughter underneath the graveyard. She forgave them for their mistakes and thanked them for everything, telling them “heaven is beautiful”.
Charlie sunk into vices suddenly and harshly. When given alcohol, he would overindulge to the point of deliriousness and would often find ways to numb the emotional pain, such as with actual pain inflicted by others.
After the funeral, Quackity forgave Charlie, insisting that everyone deserved a little forgiveness. They both realized that they were the poorest islanders and together hatched a plan to change that.
Driven by the urge to feel cared for, Charlie joined Quackity in fooling the other islanders. He transformed himself into a green egg named Gegg. However, Quackity’s motives were different to Charlie’s, as he only wanted to engage in large-scale home burglary.[43]
Gegg was introduced as a late find in the adoption center, and adopted by Quackity. However, Quackity did not care to take care of Gegg as an actual egg, and Gegg sought companionship elsewhere.
While at first seemingly accepted despite his strangeness, Gegg's firm rejection by Wilbur Soot[44] and Lullah caused his insecurities to spike and he questioned even being born.[45][46] At a low, Gegg encountered Quackity in the middle of a therapy session with Roier; he was invited to join and they worked out some of their issues. Quackity had no problem with Charlie's newfound identity as Gegg, but did not have the resources to care for a child. Glad to find acceptance, Gegg dubbed both Quackity and Roier as being "Gegg" and they set out to take revenge on Wilbur for his crimes against the Gegg collective by vandalizing his house.
On April 30th, 2023, the living eggs went missing. Charlie had woken up as he believed that if the Angel was going to come through on his promise, that then would be their chance.
Mariana was also present that day, and they spent their time circling around each other. They both hoped for their daughter to be with the eggs when they were found.
Charlie briefly attempted to get Mariana to adopt Gegg, but was shut down as Mariana refused to have any child but JuanaFlippa. He was willing to give the egg things and defend him however, which resulted in Gegg's downfall as using his new chainsaw on Foolish resulted in his death at Vegetta's hands. Charlie's identity as Gegg was revealed to those present, but was quickly swept aside and not focused on.
JuanaFlippa was not among the eggs returned. Mariana and Charlie stood off to the side while everyone reunited with their missing children, theirs still gone. Then it was revealed that the Brazilian's would be getting an egg of their very own. They both agreed that if they couldn't be happy no one could, and engaged in multiple half-hearted attempts to kill Richarlyson before giving up. They left the area to be alone together at Mariana's house.
The day before the QSMP elections were set to kick off, Roier and Cellbit held their wedding.
Charlie arrived in a dress made entirely of his own slime. Cellbit pulled him aside to tell him that there was nothing between them, because they had very very briefly kissed on the day of Cellbit's arrival, something which Charlie didn't remember. With Baghera's complete support Charlie took this as a sign that he needed to make a big scene at the wedding and object. Charlie reunited with Mike, his estranged brother.
Charlie's objection at the wedding was followed up by Quackity setting off an explosion under the venue, accidentally framing Charlie; and the wedding's murder mystery seemingly pointing to him as the killer. It was eventually decided that Charlie did not have the means or skills to pull off the accused crimes and he was forgiven. He apologized to the grooms for the interruption and was forgiven.
They all went to Las Casualonas for the after party where Charlie grieved and drowned his sorrows. Foolish encouraged him to work things out with Mariana.
Charlie entered the election as Gegg's campaign manager, handling public relations and talking to people before transforming into Gegg for official events. Charlie was also the holder of Gegg's election lives.
On August 12th, Slimecicle's birthday, he was presented with a treasure hunt by the server. With the help of Richarlyson and Lullah he went through each step, being presented with a gift at each location. Finally he was told to go home, where the last gift was. He found it in his basement, then the lights began to go out. A chest appeared with a note inside telling him to "follow the light."
It led him down to his mine where a secret train track and house had been built. Inside waiting for him was a cake and another note. "I missed you."
JuanaFlippa appeared from behind a corner. They had a tearful reunion but it was cut short, she made him promise to keep her a secret before leaving once again with a promise to see him soon. He swore that he would do anything she needed as long as she came back.

On September -, Charlie, Roier, and new member Tubbo were each given a message surrounded by dark matter. It instructed them to go to Spawn and tell no one. They were each provided a coordinate and met up to combine them into a location. Fred, a Federation worker that Tubbo knew, led them to the entrance of a hidden maze. At the center they found a wheel surrounded by the items of the missing eggs. Charlie encouraged Tubbo to spin the wheel when he became trapped with it, he insisted that on this Island they had no choice in things. Tubbo spun the wheel, it landed on the roman numeral for "5" and the room was flooded with lava and mobs.
Eventually they left the maze and found Cellbit, who had done a mission to get all of the information that would have helped them the previous day. The gave him the few pieces of evidence they had collected.
Charlie, Tubbo, and Aypierre visited Forever in the hospital wing, Charlie tried punching his bed in an attempt to wake him up, believing it to not be breakable. He broke it before leaving in a panic.

During the Purgatory Event, Slimecicle was sorted into BOLASǃ?ǃ?. He and the rest of his team snapped under the pressure of their first day after being targeted numerous times. Later, he would join his team in purposefully acting like they had lost their minds, suggesting they all wear gas masks at all times. After this decision was made, he proceeded to strip down to all but his sash and got covered in mud.
Upon meeting with ElQuackity and hearing a sarcastic description of Quesadilla Island as “HappyLand SMP,” Charlie yelled at him about all of the injustice and pain he had gone through in his time on the island.
Over the course of the two weeks spent in Purgatory, Slimecicle and his team grew close due to always sharing a voice call for their time online. Slimecicle found himself missing Mariana, flirting with his teammates and even other team's members in an effort to distract himself.
Eventually, Mariana would arrive in Purgatory. After exchanging jabs through the chat, they shared a conversation, catching up and talking about JuanaFlippa. Slimecicle told him to show up more if he was going to consider Flippa his daughter. They had sex in the pool at the Global Missions Area.

Slimecicle made it to the escape boat. However, he would not wake up again until the Prison Event.
Charlie next woke up in prison, believing he had finally been caught for his crimes. He met SunnySideUp, who had newly been assigned as his legal daughter. With Tubbo as his new co-parent, he got to know her. His fears of misclicking haunted his interactions with her; he apologized fiercely when he accidentally hit her, and refused to brush it aside. Sunny was ecstatic to have him as a new father, immediately dubbing him her “Pop” and clinging to his side for their first day together. He became fond of her quickly in turn, protecting her and teaching her life skills. She comforted him when he was feeling sad. She asked him to promise he would never hurt her, which he tearfully agreed to.
On their second day of prison they grew closer, with several attempts to break out and start a new life together. They spent the day with Tubbo as a family and solved a murder together. He logged out before the big break out later that same day, and never logged on again.

He would very often tell her how proud he was of her and would panic when she left his eyesight. He's admitted that he needs her more than she needs him. After her death Charlie said that without Flippa he was nothing.

Later they had a more formal introduction through Wilbur, he came to view both her and her father as family. Her acceptance of him as an uncle reminded him of Tilín in a bittersweet way,[51] and he did his best to help take care of her. He made her father swear to be careful with swords for her safety.
Later, on his birthday, she made her full feelings known, she viewed him as family and a wonderful person and insisted that he could spend time with her any time. The admission made him emotional and they shared a hug.[52] |

Quackity made Charlie Tilín's Godfather, and Charlie began to look out for the egg as a nephew. He would take Tilín in when Quackity was absent and treated the egg well. Even when Charlie was in the midst of his rampage, while he didn't completely avoid going after Tilín he did not want to hurt her specifically in the same way he would target other eggs.
Upon Flippa's death Charlie asked Tilín to be one of his lawyers, so they could bring her back together as a team to which the egg agreed. While she would end up not serving as a lawyer due to having jury duty Tilín and Charlie were still very much united in wanting Flippa back. The day after Flippa's resurrection Tilín went with Charlie for the day, expressing that she wanted a dad "like [him]" over Quackity, he reassured her that she was loved by those around her and comforted her. She was killed by his sword, and for a very long time he blamed himself for this fact. He exiled himself in an effort to "make things right" by reviving her but it was unsuccessful. After her death Charlie carried the guilt of his mistake with him everyday, he missed Tilín and believed her death to be his own easily preventable mistake. When they met during Dia De Muertos he expected her to be angry with him, to want to possess him or punish him in some way. Instead she forgave him. He didn't believe he deserved it. |

During Purgatory they were teamed up in Bolas?!?! Charlie has implied on multiple occasions that he finds Cellbit attractive. He will sometimes flirt with him. |

Charlie’s relationship with BadBoyHalo is primarily adversarial. If given the opportunity to blame or pick a fight with someone Charlie will always choose Bad. This was evident from their first days on the server, with Charlie going out of his way to annoy Bad. He tends to play up his dysfunction around Bad, such as telling him about his least usual parenting methods or his childhood.[53]
Upon the first final death of his daughter, Charlie targeted Bad and his egg for a perceived wrong against Flippa in life. He was unsuccessful in harming Dapper but would continue to target them and blame Bad for Flippa’s death for the rest of the day as a coping mechanism. He agreed to be Charlie’s lawyer but suspected him of foul play before the trial and was the first to accuse him of having multiple lawyers. After JuanaFlippa’s final death, Bad would often make off hand remarks about Charlie’s misclick or his daughter’s death,[54] something which caused resentment from Charlie.[55] He often suspected Charlie of doing something nefarious and would be quick to suspect him of things, such as Gegg or his glitches. [Elections] In return for the remarks against him Charlie would often comment on the missing eggs, speculating their deaths around Bad as a form of payback. He apologized for this during the Día de Muertos Event.[56] Upon arriving in Purgatory, Bad became a major threat to Charlie and his team, so much so that his name became a trigger word for fear and anxiety for Charlie.[57] Every time he heard footsteps he was afraid that it was Bad, and as a result he lived in terror. However, he was determined to conquer his fear, he consistently challenged Bad to duels, hoping to get a fair fight.[58] This wasn’t given to him until the very end of the event, during which he defeated Bad in a stick fight. [59] But even then Bad stole the satisfaction away from him be implying that he had been given a helping hand by the admins that he wasn’t aware of. On the last competition day they reached an understanding via mindmeld that resulted in them seeing each other in a new light,[60] Bad even went so far as to flirt with him to Charlie’s horror.[61] This was quickly taken back as a mistake.[62] Their final interactions were in prison, and were for the most part positive. They shared a meal of prison guard together with Richarlyson. Despite the negativity of their relationship, Charlie and Bad get along well, they often joke around each other and they fall into an easy dynamic of bully and bullied. Even when he was scared of Bad, they would often engage in playfully malicious conversations. Nothing with Bad was too serious in one direction or the other, they stayed at a very ambiguous middle ground for the entirety of their time together on the server. | |

After the death of JuanaFlippa Jaiden was extremely sympathetic to his grief even when it threatened her family. She agreed to be his lawyer when asked and helped him home after he drank too much at the bar, staying with him until sunrise and singing Flippa's song with him. She performed extremely well in the trial as one of Charlie's lawyers, having prepared a solid opening statement that impressed the court. ... They later found themselves as karaoke buddies and swellers. During Purgatory they were teamed up in Bolas?!?!, where they continued to bounce off of each other, starting the gas mask cult together and bonding as two of the team's less pvp skilled players. |
